Gunmen murder a Judge(?) in Enugu

An unidentified man in his late 60s was yesterday evening around 5pm shot by some unknown gunmen in Enugu. From a video footage that went viral which captured the incident at the traffic light in front of the old Market Garden, showed that the assailants

who were in a red SUV vehicle double-crossed the man who was driving a black Mercedes Benz, SUV as he stopped obeying the traffic light. The assailants who were about three came down from the red car which drove through the Tunnel, and dragged him out of his car from the passengers side and shot him leaving him in the pool of his own blood.

The assailants entered his car and drove through the Ebeano Tunnel following the red car that brought them.

The State Police Command spokesperson, Dan Ndukwe confirmed the killing of the man in a statement he issued this evening. He said the State Commissioner of Police had ordered that the assailants be apprehended. The man was confirmed dead at the ParkLane ESUT Teaching Hospital, Enugu where he was rushed to by good spirited individuals.

However an online news medium reported that the victims was a retired High Court Judge, from Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area, which has not been confirmed.
