A brace by Victor Osimehn and a late minute goal by Kelechi Iheanacho were all the Super Eagles of Nigeria need to gain a spot at forthcoming African Cup of Nations, AFCON. The Nigerian side defeated their Sierra Leonean counterparts who fought back from 2 goals down to equalise in the second half of the game.
Kelechi Iheanacho made it 2-3 in favour of Nigeria during the extra time after 90 minutes. Nigeria now topping their group has booked a spot in the competition.
The three-time African champions picked the ticket at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia, on Sunday with one game to spare.
