President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Owerri-Orlu road as part of activities lined up for him on the state visit to Owerri. The President had arrived Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri this morning on a One-day visit to the Igbo heartland. He was recieved by the Governor of the State, Hope Uzodinma along with other dignitaries.

The visit was the second to the State in about 2 years.

He left the Banana Junction to Amaraku, Isiala Mbano LGA to inaugurate the first phase of Owerri-Okigwe road.

Shortly after, the President is expected to commission the House of Assembly complex.
