The StanbicIBTC has notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange that the bank’s delay in the release of its audited 2017 half-year results to the regulatory body is because they are waiting for the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The financial organisation, in the statement, informed the NSE as well as other stakeholders that “we are experiencing a slight delay in the release of the 2017 half-year audited financial statements for Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc.
“This delay is occasioned by the fact that we are currently seeking the approval of our primary regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria, to the half-year audited financial statements, following which the said financial statements would then be released to the market.”
The statement, which was signed by its Group Company Secretary, Chidi Okezie, added, “We are working diligently to ensure that our company’s 2017 half-year results are published on Tuesday August, 29, 2017 or within a few days thereafter.”
