Refrain from establishing cattle ranch in Enugu – IPoB warns Gov Mbah

Ignore 5-day Sit-at-home Order, IPOB Tells South East Residents

THE Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, yesterday cautioned the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, to refrain from establishing cattle ranch anywhere in Enugu State if he wants to have a peaceful and smooth administration.

IPoB also cautioned Governor Mbah not to allow the repeat of what happened two years ago at Ehe-Amufu and Nimbo, Uzowani community all of Enugu State.

The pro- Biafra group in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful wonder what has gone wrong with some South East Governors, who allegedly, trade the comfort of their people for selfish political interest, saying that it will stop any attempt by Governor Mbah or any other governor from the zone to established cattle ranch for people who will eventually turn around to kill Ndigbo.

IPoB reminded Governor Mbah that it is aware of his alleged romance with the enemies of Ndigbo, since assumption of office, but promised that the establishment of cattle ranch for killer herdsmen is one thing they will resist with what they have, particularly, the Eastern Security Network,ESN, operatives.

IPoB,s statement entitled, “IPoB rejects establishment of Cattle ranch for Fulani herdsmen”, read, “Sequel to the plans by the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, to establish cattle ranch at Nimbo in Uzowani community of Enugu State, we the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, ably led by our great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, hereby caution and advise Governor Mba to stop his sellout plans to bring the murderous jihadist Fulanis to Nimbo community in Enugu State.

“Our people should recall that IPoB released a press statement last November 2023, raising an alarm over plans by Governor Peter Mbah, to sell some community’s land to Fulani bandits to establish RUGA in return for political favours.

“The Mbah-led Enugu State government, in connivance with some community leaders, have mapped out some community lands in Enugu State, to be sold to terrorists Fulanis claiming to be herdsmen. The names of the community leaders in such connivance will be made public soon.

“Enugu State citizens must know about the arrangements of Governor Mbah in giving away their ancestral lands to the murderous bandits claiming to be herdsmen, for his political interests and compensation to his masters who handed him the mandate that does not belong to him

“We wonder what has gone wrong with some South East who decides to trade their people’s comfort for their selfish political interests and gains, unlike their counterpart in the Northern and South Western Nigeria.

“IPoB is monitoring Governor Peter Mbah and his collaborators. They should understand that IPoB will not allow the establishment of any murderous camp for terrorists and jihadist Fulanis in the name of cattle ranch anywhere in Enugu State.

“If Governor Peter Mbah is genuinely interested in establishing a cattle ranch in Enugu State, such ranch must be managed privately by an Igbo businessman. Only Ndigbo are allowed to own cattle ranches anywhere in Igbo land, to avoid using them as lunch pad for attack against Ndigbo. We don’t want to have murderous Fulanis operating any cattle ranch in Alaigbo.

“Governor Peter Mba should not allow what happened at Eha Amufu and Nimbo in Uzouwani,
two years ago to repeat itself because of his unsearchable need and chase for political powers and clout. The governor should understand that IPoB is not joking. We must chase away murderous Fulani jihadist herdsmen anywhere they are seen in the South East.

“If Fulani herdsmen have paid Governor Peter Mbah or any traditional ruler or leader for any parcel of land in Enugu State, they should better go and collect their money back

“Dear Peter Mbah, if you want to have a smooth and peaceful regime in Enugu State, you must jettison the idea of establishing a Fulani cattle ranch in the state. ESN must be on an alert and wait for an order from the IPoB leadership to move into Nimbo community in Uzowani.

“We call on the community youths, groups, and Enugu citizens to provide IPoB/ESN with any information of any proposed site for Fulani camp or ranch anywhere around Uzo Uwani. ESN will stop at nothing to ensure that Peter Mbah and his government don’t establish RUGA in any part of Enugu State.

“We are also informing South East Governors to shun any idea of establishing cattle ranch in any state in the South East Region. IPoB and ESN operatives won’t allow any establishment of Fulani camp in the name of cattle ranch in any state in the Biafra territory.”
