The vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in 2019 general e;lection, Mr Peter Obi has denied ever making the statement circulating in the social media where he was quoted as saying that he would never leave APGA and join the People Democaratic Party, PDP.

Peter Obi who appeared on Arise Morning Show this Monday morning, September 20th, 2021, asked anyone who had seen the tape where made the statement to make it public. According to him, we are in the ‘era of everybody running everybody down’ stating that he never made the statement and recalled that he gave the late Ikemba Nnewi and leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA his words that he would never leave him till the end, and that he kept to it, took care of him when he was sick and gave him a befitting burial when he passed on.

On the issue of zoning the presidential ticket by his party the PDP, Mr Obi prevaricated when he was asked his opinion on it, whether it should be zoned to the South as many people want and preach. He rather said that he would not comment on it because there was a committee looking into the matter set up by the party. He however said that 2023 was very important and every effort should be made to get things right this time around.
