Kemi Olunloyo, Walson regain freedom

Journalist and blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, and Port Harcourt-based publisher, Samuel Walson have been granted bail.

Magistrate Alatuwo Fubara of the Magistrates’ Court in Port Harcourt in his ruling on Thursday,  granted Olunloyo and Walson bail in the sum of two hundred thousand Naira, Daily Post reports.

Olunloyo and Walson were arrested for purportedly publishing materials believed to have defamed a frontline cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, of the Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt.

The absence of  the magistrate stalled the hearing on bail application of Olunloyo and her partner, last week.

Details later.
