Gunmen on Monday abducted Madam Beauty Ogere Siasia, the mother of former Super Eagles striker, Samson Siasia demanding a ransom of N150m. The 76-year-old woman is being abducted for the second time in four years.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the woman was taken away by armed men around 2:00a.m. from her home in Odoni, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa. She was earlier abducted in November 2015 and released 12 days after.
When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa Command, Mr Asimni Butswait, said the command had deployed a team to the area and would issue an official statement on the abduction later.
Meanwhile, the Former Super Eagles Coach, Sampson Siasia has confirmed the kidnap of his mother Mrs Ogere Siasia by Gunmen in the early hours of Monday. In a correspondence with our correspondent on Monday, the former football star confirmed that the mother had been kidnapped.
This is the second time the ex-international’s mother would be kidnapped. Her whereabouts, is not yet known and the abductors had also not established contact with the family. But, some unconfirmed sources claimed that they had established contact and were demanding N150m.
He who confirmed the kidnap to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), only replied “yes” to a terse message sent to him.
