Four star Ronaldo forces referee to sign match ball after

Cistiano Ronaldo took the bizarre and unusual step of asking the referee to sign his match ball after scoring four goals for Al Nassr.

Ronaldo put his slow start to life in Saudi Arabia behind him on Thursday as he scored all of Al Nassr’s goals in their 4-0 rout over Al Wehda. The Manchester United legend opened the scoring with an arrowed finish before doubling the home side’s lead with a similar effort from the opposite side of the box.

After making it 3-0 from the spot just after half-time, Ronaldo capitalised on an error from Al Wehda goalkeeper Abdulquddus Atiah to bag the fourth and final goal of a complete performance.

As is customary when scoring a hat-trick, Ronaldo retrieved the match ball after the game to take it home – but not before asking the referee to sign it.

The Portuguese star presented the referee with the ball, which he duly signed with his pen. The pair then enjoyed a quick handshake and a picture before Ronaldo gave the ball to one of his minders and walked off the pitch.
