The Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru has reportedly died this evening in a plane crash in Kaduna. He was said to be conveyed along with 11 other senior officers in a military plane that crash landed in Kaduna this Friday evening. According to sources. The officers were coming to Kaduna to participate in the passing out ceremony of a military school coming up tomorrow.

The Nigerian Air Force have confirmed the crash which took place near the airport’s runway. It said the immediate cause of the crash was yet to be ascertained.
