The funeral mass for the victims of the June 5th terror attack at St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, has commenced with the bodies of the victims laying in coffins in the church. Bodies of the victims, which sources said were six kids and 20 women, were brought in a hearse in separate coffins.

In attendance are dignitaries which include the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who could not hold back tears during the service.

The attack on the worshippers by suspected terrorists was the bloodiest ever in the Southwest. It would be recalled that a similar attack had been launched on a Catholic Church in Suleija, Niger State some years ago with many worshipers killed by explosives planted by the masterminds.
