PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of the Deputy Inspector-General, DIG, Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP.

The appointment brought to an end the tenure of the former IG of Police, Mohammed Adamu whose tenure was extended for three months, two months ago. The former IG of Police was on an official duty to Imo State when his sack was announced.
