After 3 days in captivity, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria His Eminence Samuel KANU Uche has been reportedly freed by his abductors this evening. Bishop KANU who was said to have been freed around 8pm this Monday evening according to AriseTv News Night monitored by Drumnewsonline. It was not clear if the other people abducted with him were freed also. The Bishop along with another Methodist Bishop and his Chaplain were abducted along the Umuahia -Port Harcourt express way over the weekend.

The abductors were said to have demanded for N100million . Drumnewsonlikne could not ascertain if any ransom was paid.
