Some staffers of Heritage Bank, a commercial bank operating in Nigeria, this Monday laid siege on the property of Senator Andy Uba in Abuja over his default in repayment of loan facilities which he obtained from the bank. The recovery staff took their destinies in their own hands to physical besiege his property situated in Maitama, Abuja as several emissaries to the Senator, who is an All Progressive Congress, APC governorship aspirant in the forthcoming November elections to honour his obligations to the bank proved abortive.

The serving senator was an aide to the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and routinely contested elections in Anambra State since he left office. In a video shared by the staff while laying siege on his house, the bank workers bemoaned that his debt portfolio was adversely affecting the bank profitability and the livelihood of its staff who are on the verge of losing their jobs.
