Barely an hour after he entered the villa from his 105 days long medical vacation, President Muhammadu Buhari kicked off his official duties as he met Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and security chiefs behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting was Buhari’s first official engagement after returning to the country earlier in the day. It was held inside his official residence.

Journalists and some other top government officials were excused from the premises after Buhari had exchanged greetings with officials who were on hand to receive him at his residence.

The meeting could be to sign post his preparedness to resume work in earnest and to show that he is fit to embark on governance. A lot of critics have been calling on him to resign his position citing his health.
