Men from the Department of State Services, DSS, have reportedly invaded the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP and occupying the entire office.
According to reports, the officers were asking to see the rights group’s directors.
A post on SERAP’s X (Twitter) handle read: “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.
“President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians.”
It will be recalled that hours ago the DSS operatives arrested the President of NLC, John Ajaero at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on his way to UK to attend a labour international conference.
SERAP has been on the jugular of the present administration demanding for accountability in the affairs of governance of the nation coupled with several court cases.
Details coming.
