Still with the abduction of some 27 students and staff of Kankara Government Secondary School, in Niger State still unresolved, gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted over 300 girls at Government Secondary School Jangebe in Zamfara State. last night.

According to reports monitored by Drumnewsonline, the girls were discovered missing Thursday night after the students were counted and as at press time, not much has been heard about the missing students. The gunmen stormed the school premises and made away with the students.

The State Government and the Police Command were yet to comment on the missing girls. It would be recalled that just yesterday the State Governor, Dr Bello Matawalle had commenced an amnesty program whereby some bandits handed over some weapons in exchange for amnesty by the State government. This incident may have thrown some spanners in the works of the amnesty initiative.
