Few days earlier than the specified date, the Akanu ibiam International Airport is to be reopened for operations on Monday 28th April, 2025.

The announcement came more than 7 days tearlier than the scheduled completion of the repair works on the way.

According to a statement by Mrs Obiageli Orah, Director Public affairs and Consumer Protection, FAAN, earlier than the May 6th date.of reopening of the airport, the tepair works were completed ahead of time. She thanked all rhe stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation during the closure of the Airports.
