The renowned musician, journalist and human activist, Onyeka Onwenu is dead. She was said to have slumped yesterday night after performing at the 80th birthday party of Chief Mrs Stella Okoli which took place in Ikoyi Lagos. Onyeka was rushed to Reddington Hospital, Lagos where she was confirmed dead.

A native of Arondizuogu, Imo State, late Ms Onwenu was a household name in Nigeria as a result of her musical exploits. She started offf a s a journalist after studying in the United States of America. A single mother, had two sons.
